Real Americans that want war for resources at least put forth a plausible excuse for illegal wars.

i.e., "they have weapons of mass destruction," "they are harboring terrorists," "their people are being oppressed and genocided, it's a humanitarian intervention" etc.


You don't just come right out and declare the real purposes for war, because War Powers act notwithstanding, the peoples' representatives are the ones that have to have the final say on where we go to war.
