We have to change the law so we can mandate long term even for life treatment that cant be refused. We can also trat many out patient once stable as modern treatment methods have advanced. A very workable solution.

This is a very well done documentary about the homeless/drug addicted/criminal problem in Seattle. After about 45:00 in the video, they start to talk about very doable possible solutions, one in Rhode Island which is a program currently running successfully and at 50:00 there is a part about an unused facility in the Puget Sound Area, on McNeill Island, which could easily be renovated to serve as the solution locally, but the democrats continue to refuse to even hear it. Or at least that was the situation a few years ago when this documentary was made.




There is also a follow-up by the same producer, Seattle's ABC affiliate, entitled "The Fight For The Soul Of Seattle". No solutions. Same old problem, and the democrats don't give a rip.

I've stopped even hoping that Seattle will recover.
