This would be a huge story if it weren't one of the main politicians who want to impeach and get President Trump. Can you imagine someone screaming about no one being above the law being so willing to break it and in such a repugnant manner.

Lefty California Rep. Eric Swalwell isn't qualified to run for governor of the Golden State — because he doesn't officially live there, according to a bombshell new court claim.

Right-wing pundit and filmmaker Joel Gilbert said in a court complaint filed in Sacramento that Swalwell, considered the likely successor to Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom, actually lives in Washington, DC, and is prohibited from running for the top state office under California law.

He represents California and wants to be governor of California, with actual residence in California.

"Public records searches reveal no current ownership or leasehold interest held by Eric Swalwell in California, nor any history of any ownership of leasehold interest based on available public records," said the petition filed by Gilbert on Jan. 8.

"Swalwell's congressional financial disclosers from 2011 to 2024 list no California real estate ownership."

Gilbert said in the filing that the California address Swalwell claimed in a campaign filing Dec. 4 is actually the office of the congressman's lawyer and not a residence.

Not only should he not be governor, nor represent California, he should probably be charged with voter fraud as well for even voting in California.

He is a true DC Swamp creature. I'm sure he will cry and turn this around talking about how he can't afford to maintain two residences but his one residence and his family should all be in California. He has everything in DC because that is where he resides as a swamp creature.

Give him the boot off the ballot, out of office and into a nice prison cell for engaging in fraud.

In the modern age, we have impressive communication technology, there is no reason for Swalwell or any other congresscreep to actually live outside their district.

Why don't they conduct meetings on zoom calls, and vote electronically instead of spending so much time in Washington?

The point is you can own more than one home and have more than one residence.

The one you claim as PRIMARY though gets better loan terms than a secondary/vacation home because the presumption is those are riskier loans.

If the shit hits the fan for you, the presumption is most people would retain their actual home and dump the home in the mountains or by the lake.

So the loan origination fees, points, and interest rate all change on any sort of investment property, secondary home, vacation home.

When you lie about that on your application, you are deceiving the bank for financial gain.
