I was just watching The Military Channel. There's a show on and addressed FDR's endeavors to counter espionage (not soviet of course, that was permitted) by Nazi Germany. It implied the germans had launched submarine based sabatoures into the US as early as 1940, and J. Edgar Hoover was on the lookout for more sub based landings. If you weren't aware that was bullshit before hand, you might have believed Morgan Freeman's narrative.

It was also funny how it seemed to glorify FDR's endeavors to undermine both Congressional Law, and SCOTUS rulings by telling his AG to ignore civil liberties. Of course when Bush actually got congress to sign off on his anti-civil liberty agenda, he was, and has been demonized since.

The moonbat messiah was one of those voices, yet he has expanded those powers without a peep from the moonbats.
