Trump condemned the Nazis at Charlottesville .. the good people on both sides remark was directed at the peaceful people that were protesting in favor of removing statues and people protesting to leave the statues standing because of their belief of the statues historical value .

Not all trump supporters are white supremacists, and I have never said they were, though I am aware they are tolerated inside the little tent. But, I live in a region with a high undercurrent of racism, and not uncommon for me to hear racist remarks or feelings expressed. Without fail, of the people I know, the one expressing them are Republican Trump supporters. Admittedly, that could be because most of my friends and acquaintances are Republican voters, not unusual in my conservative red state. Indeed, a local Republican low level politico from an adjoining county attempted to recruit me to train his newly forming little militia group, in weapons, tactics, organization of operations, etc, saying "We will need people like you, if that N****** Obama gets elected". Before his attempted recruitment, I had never met or even heard of the guy, but I was known to him, by word of mouth, from National Guardsmen I had trained and Commanded in his town years before. That was in 2008, and I doubt it has changed, even meeting a blacksmith last month while Kayaking, who brought up Harris in similar speech.

This has held true, in my total local experience, except for many black factory workers, I worked with, several of whom were indeed racist, but definitely Democrat voters. They put up with me, knowing I would tolerate none of that crap from either side and that went for the brother of a guy a local clan leader that worked for me, also.
