Gobs of people on the left, do not engage in hate speech. Heck most people one here don't engage in hate speech. Moderation deletes and penalizes people that engage in hate speech. This is true, even though many conservative, right on the very board will argue, there is no such thing as hate speech. We have reserved words, individual words, that will get you bounced when used and penalized simply for trying to get around the ban.
