I have been fighting this battle for decades.
Who cares?
There are a dozen different factors that go into the purchase of a new vehicle, and "reliability" is greatly over-rated. A "bad" car is usually one that has a couple failures per hundred. If you are buying a new car and have concerns about reliability, spend a couple thousand and get an extended factory warranty. While there are occasionally problems that the dealer can't fix, these things are extremely rare.
Consider the "worst" car on the above list the Rivian R1T and R1S. They are insanely fast, comfortable, amazingly efficient ($/mi), have a laundry list of features and are a couple of the most functional vehicles ever produced. The only drawback is a truck bed that is so short only a ***** would ever own one.
Genesis? Volvo? Cadillac? Are you kidding? These are among the nicest cars you can buy.
Seriously, you would have to be an idiot to reject one of these cars because Consumer Reports says it's a bad car.
