Leaked documents show Baltimore high schoolers perform math, reading at elementary level.

You do realize that unions are allowed under the law, or did you sleep through that lesson about the National Labor Relations Act?

The real issue is when unions get outside their lanes and get involved in curriculum choices, which most local unions do not.
WOOOSH!
You totally spin the point out of context to avoid the issue AGAIN.

So dare one ponder a political situation where the Left seeks to promote masses of Blacks despite profound academic deficiencies, thereby making a High School diploma utterly worthless in most cases?

Then they go around to large employers, telling them that they must consider Black, inner city applicants to be the equals of everyone else.

The Left fears meritocracy more than anything else.

And now the Democrats propose free Community College. FFS.

You know that old lie gets very tiresome. As a math teacher for grades 6-12, I can assure you that everyone is taught the "count up" method of making change.

The reason registers calculate change is that counting it out takes time, and as the old saying goes, "Time is money!"
Okay so exactly how is it possible to have a $5.25 check give someone $10.25 and they have no idea what to do?
But yeah it must be a lie

Your claim, your responsibility dickhead!

There are many threads where I have pointed the finger correctly at the parents and elected members of local school boards for their pathetic performance.
My shocked face you never post anything critical about the collapsed public education system and only defend failure.

Please keep in mind that there's a positive side to all of this.

Black Lying Morons will have low IQ followers for many years to come. They'll have no worries about their followers being able to think for themselves.

And the jobs of welfare office workers will be secure for decades to come.

You see, the whole situation is a big win-win for everyone involved.

You're welcome.

Being so far below grade level is an important problem. But we need to think how valid “on grade level” is anymore.

If the overwhelming majority of 10th graders are at elementary level in math, then elementary level is the new 10th grade level.

So to make the stats valid, we can either lower the bar or start teaching again instead of social engineering.

We are still teaching. This year we are working hard to fill in the gaps and catch up with all the students lost during the pandemic and the disaster that was "remote learning."
