Actually NY admitted today that thousands of their corona deaths may not have been corona deaths....but that being said of course the reopening must be done strategically...Trump's been saying that all along.....that is why all of his poll numbers from every major pollster has him above 45% approval today.....MAGA Trump is crushing it!!!!!

How stupid do you have to be to fail to see that the economy is a very important part of the health and wellbeing of this country?

No one disputes that. However, we are not prepared for the economy to be re-opened unless it's on an extremely limited scale based on regional circumstances.

Personally, I think it's very stupid to pay any attention to the man and people who have been wrong about all this from the start.

Which allowed America to become the mess it is today.

Most people know that you can't have an economy if the people are too sick or dead.

The economy can't be opened up until it's safe to do so. Then follow procedures that prevent this mess from happening again.

Well, with respect, it may well turn out that it'll NEVER be safe to open a service economy. Corvid-19 doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and the virus may mutate to make immunity through a vaccine or exposure less than perfect. But the question is whether we can reopen segments of the economy without overwhelming the capacity of our healthcare, and as a result shut down the economy just by having a non-functioning society …. like Northern Italy experienced.

We can't just wait a year or two till there's "maybe" a vaccine. People are going to die. That's a fact. What Trump screwed up was not getting testing in place and finding a way to mitigate infections. But there are 350 million americans. Even if there's a 1% fatality rate, anyone can do the math for themselves.

Average flu deaths in the USA are 35k a year, the reason yearly flu deaths were oddly high recently is because the flu that spread, was not one in the vaccine shots given.... basically, the flu gurus .missed it, is what I've read on it.... at the peak of that flu year was about 70k or so, double the average amount of 35k deaths a year...which happens when the flu vaccine works.

And if we get a vaccine specifically for this corona virus, and 50% of our population decides to get the vaccination each year, then we should see drastic reductions in deaths from it.

We have 32000 deaths in 6 weeks with COVID, in our hospitals....

and thousands more died from it in our nursing homes, which ARE NOT INCLUDED in our daily death counts or total death counts, along with all the COVID deaths of those who died at home, are not in the counts of those testing positive or those that have died with it.

In a year's time, as flu seasons are measured with infections and deaths, we could as the present mortality numbers are showing, reach 200k deaths this first full year.... if there is not a vaccine available until after the year calculation point.... And depending if going back to work starts the spread again.
