I got a telemarketing call from the UK today

Its a small world we live in

Singapore is hitting us in California with scam texts telling us to pay a Fast Trak toll bills.
Not getting text. I assume auto random dialing by area code. Most come up with the Iphone announcing potential spam. They get blocked and reported. But, some get through, only recognized by the pause before one of the boiler room people can get onto the line. Those get block, but the phone does not offer to report.

Unless they are in my contacts list, I don't answer. Probably 10 a day.

wow, going back through history about 200 attempts to use my sign into my microsoft account from everywhere
I'm a nobody, I am off the grid in a sense, there is nothing on my computer worth anything to anybody but me
sure they could used saved logins to my bank and credit card but they won't get much
hack a CC which I've had done a few times they block the account, you call and get a new card and don't owe anything
most likely the same as the bank and mine is local

not sure why my account is being bombed but it does makes me worry, why me?

I use firefox, all attempts are from chrome or safari, interesting

Wow. Have had no attempts to get to my Microsoft account, but it is only on my computer. I have a reasonably secure computer password combination of lower uppercase and numbers with meanings only pertinent to me, on the computer, and an absolutely paranoid long complicated password to my router using upper lower case letters, numbers, special characters, all of no relevance to me or anybody else, max length, full 128k encrypted, truly a pain for even setting up cellphone wifi connection to. I use a fairly big name antivirus paid edition and firewall. I do not use chrome, nor cloud backup. When I do backup, it is to a 2 Terabyte external drive, in the metal box beside me. Instead of IE explorer or chrome, I use Firefox, with all protections turned on, to the point, I get virtually no advertising. No matter what I look at or look up, ads do not follow me around the internet. I don't even see the first ad on this site, but am aware there is some. Email ads, though annoying and too many are due solely to businesses and entities, I have done business with, and even then, I set blocks in outlook to send some directly to junk, and I religiously delete other emails, not filed, to trash and delete the delete file regularly. As for phone, I do zero online banking or bill paying on the phone. No charges outside a 50 mile radius even go on debit card to my bank account, instead using a relatively secure large credit card, to allow me to review before paying. Doesn't everybody?

no kids next door, I am usually behind a VPN, most of my neighbors are retired so that' not it plus I am friends with them all

no this is something just totally goofy

I can IP trace them to location but without paying I can't get information of who they are

we are talking russia, france, brazil, indonesia.......the list is long

and why are they trying to access my account? so they play online games?

this appears to be a microsoft spam problem on their own servers if anything

I doesn't matter.

The "healthcare" industry has people in other countries handling OUR private information, OUR private medical information, and OUR bank information pertaining to medical payments.

Supposedly this is TREASON, so I've been told, as OUR private information is NOT supposed to leave the borders of the USA.
And yet, most all "healthcare" and health insurance companies have sent 90% of their billing work to India, Mexico, and other such countries.

They aren't bound by the same laws this country is, so its easy for them to sell our information to scammer organizations over there, or sell our personal info to our enemies.
