Large spider stuck in car ??

I went to put gas in and I saw this large dark grey object .
I immediately thought it was tree or leaf debris but it came to life in my hand .
It then hid in near the outside of my gas tank and I could not get it out with thin tree stick

Somehow burrowed in next to gas tank

Kind of startled me
