Here's the faboo-est recipe for braised lamb shanks:

Lamb Shanks

2 lamb shanks
2 Tablespoons flour
1 Tablespoon shortening
1/2 cup meat stock or water
2/4 teaspoon horse radish
1/2 teaspoon Worcetershire sauce
1/2 Tablespoon vineagar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pepper

Dredge lamb shanks in flour and brown in hot shortening in skillet. Remove browned shanks to casserole, and stir remaining flour into the skillet. Blend in stock or water gradually. Stir until thickened. Add remaining ingredients. Pour mixture over shanks. Bake at 325 for until meat is falling of the boneÂ…can take 2-4 hours depending on size of lamb shanks.
