Well, no one should be surprised. If you are surprised, you are part of the problem. Wake up!

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass faced scorching criticism Wednesday as it was revealed she cut the city's Fire Department budget by $17.6 million ahead of this week's devastating fires – and was traveling thousands of miles away in Ghana when the flames broke out.

The budget cut was the second largest in Bass' 2024-25 fiscal budget, city figures show – and it wasn't even the gutting she wanted.

If she had it her way, the LAFD budget would have been slashed by $23 million.

...

"Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is on a taxpayer-funded trip to Africa as part of a Biden administration presidential delegation WHILE HER CITY IS BURNING TO THE GROUND," wrote America First Works president Ashley Hayek on X.

Another fire, Sunset Fire, forcing more evacuations.

That’s what I see in the Karen Bass interview - she’s silent because she really can’t believe what’s happening - that her job required genuine skill/competence.

Maybe she thought that 'it can't happen here', however no one else did either. The truth is that such a fire was unthinkable, and actually preparations needed for such a fire would have been impossible in any case.

With Governor Noose'em speed walking away while looking back over his shoulder @ the Dynamic DOGE Duo & thinking about all those billion$ of $quandered fed $$$$$ for Commiefornia's PHANTOM bullet train, & now the fire$. I'd say that Gov. Noose'em has one priority on his mind & that is; defense attorneys, lots of defense attorneys!

Sadly, with the widespread droughts such fires will occur again, with much the same result.

He was only off by 667 percent.

Far worse. What you mean is that he was off by about 666X the total figure. Expressed as a percentage, a 100% error would have been just half the actual amount, so instead of a 667% error, it is more like a 67,000% error! :auiqs.jpg:

Otto must work for the federal government.
