Some actions are so unnecessary they're bound to lead to an adverse consequence. I'd say going for a 2 point conversion while you're up 104-0 would be a fine example of ill thought.

Tough shit. You wanna run with the big dogs, you gotta step up. The star quarterback needs to get his work in. The backups obviously did some damage as well. This principal should stick to organizing the gay parade or the bands bake sale and keep her nose out of something she doesn't have a clue about. She probably yells at the exterminator for killing the poor ants.

The opposing team is not there to raise your self esteem. They are there to kick your ass.

dominate, break, defeat. never apologize. never back down

I agree with the critics. The few time we were in games that very clearly were completely mismatched, once we were up by about 28, all the guys who had zero to few minutes game time came off the sideline, we switched to a prevent defense, and switched to short yardage ground game on offense, took no time outs and kept the clock moving as best as we could. It isn't "backing down". It is being sporting both toward the other team and the players on your own team to get them some game time and experience for the future.

Well what do you want? 83 at half time. They laid off in the second half. Hope that Quarterback didn't hurt his arm throwing so many touchdown passes!

The school district is going to investigate? Bad move by the coach and disappointed he would make such a move. Apologize and move on. The schools need to chill out.

We cant ask the players to hold back

the winning team should give everyone on the squad equal playing time

and all the players should do their best no matter how high the score gets

What's the motivation for running it up like that? The winning coach must have a small package.
