The man has been dead for a while, yet I have only recently "discovered" his writings. I just finished Slaughterhouse 5 and am reading a collection of short stories. I find myself wishing I had read his works years ago. In some way though I feel it is better that I did not. My appreciation and understanding would likely not be as keen as it is now.

One of my top ten favorite writers of all time.

My top three of his books:
Player Piano
Cat's Cradle (Ice Nine! Bokononism!)
Slaughterhouse Five.

The Slaughterhouse Five movie is loyal to the book, too. Check it out. Vonnegut makes a cameo.

I've read every one of his books, many of them several times.

Just finished Slaughterhouse Five and, as time allows, am reading Look at the Birdie.
