Why won't Kristol name his candidate? Certainly he realizes he is running out of time. Maybe the pompous ass can't find a victim who is willing to commit political suicide. Maybe he thinks it's best to spring the candidate on the republican party when it's too late to do anything about it. Maybe he wants to build up suspense. Kristol's candidate would have to be a political outsider because he could never run as a republican again so that leaves out McCain. I think Romney is the only moderate (left wing) republican who would abandon the party and siphon votes from Trump but there is always the Libertarian pot head who might be too stoned to realize what he is doing.

Birfer Trump has been a conservative only when it has been convenient to him.

And Birfer Trump hasn't figured out that constant personal attacks hurts, not helps, him.

If a third-party conservative runs and Trump loses, that's Trump's fault, and nobody else's.

Krystal has always been a neocon, not a real conservative. He likes making money by exporting jobs and plundering the Middle Class like his vulture capitalist buddy Romney.

Romney has said he wont run repeatedly, but he is such an arrogant ass I doubt he can refuse an enticing offer.

Perry has been mentioned, but he has endorsed Trump, and Senator Coburn, who I think is also on board with Trump.

Were I Krystal I would be working on getting a person who is well positioned to take aim at frustrated Sanders supporters but who isnt a full blown socialist, someone like Mark Kuban or a Bloomberg type. But that is if he wants to try to get maximum votes. Any conservative knows that a vote for a Krystal loser is a vote for Hillary filling about 4 SCOTUS seats in her term. And I doubt very few of them are gonna do that.

If he could recruit Senator Jim Webb that would be a catastrophe for Trump, but I doubt Krystal can think outside the box that well.

I dont see how this hurts Trump more than Hillary.

Generally speaking people don't seem to understand the neocon movement. People react to superficial events unable to see the big picture. This includes people on the left. Neither side seem to understand how Obama has furthered the neocon agenda.

I am not certain that Kristol's goal is to unseat the Don, I think he wants a third candidate that could draw the Republicans to the polling booth who feel they can not in any way, support the Don, so to have them at least vote for all of the other Republican candidates in the Senate and the House that are running....

Evangelicals who would never vote for the Don or Clinton and who would stay home rather than vote for a woman like Hillary or a man like Trump who stands for everything that Christ is against , an antichrist...

If these truly religious people stay home, and don't go out to vote, then all of the down ballot Republican candidates will lose....

These people that have committed to not vote for Hillary or for the Don if brought to the polls by a third candidate, would not truly affect the Presidential race, but could be the main factor in winning the down ballot Republican candidate races.
