Legend has it that Kristofferson was a janitor and a National Guard Helicopter pilot who wrote a song "Sunday morning sidewalks" and delivered it to the Johnny Cash estate by helicopter and it became a hit and set off his career. It's a great story even if it might only be partially true. RIP Kristofferson. Willie is the only "Highwayman" left.
