Well, it appears Kimmel was a flash in the pan.

Time for him to flame out.....altogether.

On September 23, the late-night host returned to the air and was watched by approximately 6.5 million viewers, the highest the show had ever recorded in its history.

However, according to a report, that number plummeted to just 1.9 million by October, seemingly ending any hopes Kimmel had that his triumphant return would positively impact his ratings in the long run.

Even worse, the coveted 25–54 demographic saw an even steeper decline, dropping to just 265,000 viewers from the 1.7 million recorded on Kimmel's first night back.

With this ratings nightmare, industry insiders have begun questioning whether Disney and other broadcasters will continue to back Kimmel following the efforts they made to facilitate his return.

That’s nothing new, no one watched him before and no one watches him now, he is way past his prime, he seems bitter.

Disney will can his ass if the loss continues.

Wonder what Disney is thinking.

Maybe there will be a roller coaster ride called the Kimmel that takes you way up and then splats you on the ground.

Politics can be entertaining, but the political comedy market is spread thinly over several late night shows. The field is competitive with the winners getting paid and the losers following Colbert to other endeavors. Kimmmel's writing team could try mining other fields for jokes, outside politics.

The now missing millions must be old guys with dementia, watching the whole show, waiting for Kimmel to bring out the juggies.
