Kid arrested for having a $2 bill

I’m not sure where to post this, so I thought Garage would be good.

This is nuts. I've been saying our money has lost any credibility when they started making so many quarter designs. Nobody knows if a quarter is real or not as they have over 100 designs currently and that joke golden dollar/sacajawea coin that has absolutely no intrinsic value that "W" saddled us with is ridiculous as well. The 2 dollar bill is absolutely valid and anyone that doesn't know it has no business handling money.

I can do $1 better.

Plus it's got a nekkid chick riding a shark, so it doesn't really get any cooler than that.

I can't find any kind of news source verifying this.

I don't know what to say CB--- both the school (for education) and the police both did not recognize legal tender in a $2 bill?

Wow. I think the family ought to SUE these dumb fcks.

BTW, a $2 bill is only worth TWO DOLLARS though you don't see them around much, but REALLY.

I can't even find a school by this name.

In searching for a report, I found several instances of kids in other states being sent to the ''school police office'' for using 2 dollar bills to buy lunch.

Wow, when I went to school, none of them had a "police office" on site!
In fact, I never saw a cop anywhere near any of my schools.
But wasn't that the WHOLE POINT to the $2 bill? Because a buck doesn't buy anything anymore so a $2 bill would actually get you something with a bill.

It happened eight years ago, but it did happen.

You know, I don't really know how the 2 dollar bill came about, tubes.
