Kari Lake's goose is cooked (again) as a judge tells her to move on from fairy tales
Opinion: A judge says that voters' right to privacy outweighs Kari Lake's right to have their names, addresses, phone numbers and ballot signatures.
Well, at least she is consistent.
A Maricopa County judge on Thursday rejected Kari Lakeās demand that the county supply her with the names, addresses, phone numbers and signatures of 1.3 million early voters.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge John Hannah said the votersā right to privacy, freedom from harassment and fear of identity theft outweighs Lakeās right to continue her yearlong temper tantrum. (My words, not the judgeās.)
The judgeās 12-page ruling was brutal, noting that Lake, who lost her trial(s) to overturn the election, canāt keep inventing new claims as she searches for her fairy tale ending.
āMs. Lake regards the electoral process much like the villagers in the famous fable regarded the goose that laid the golden egg, except that her goose failed to lay the egg she expected,ā he wrote.
āShe insists that something must have gone wrong. If only she could cut open the electoral process and examine each of its 1.3 million pieces, she says, she would be able to figure out what happened and show that the prize has been there waiting for her all along.ā
