The clueless mayor doesn't realize that people admitted legally through due process can also do childcare and gardening if they want to.

As the comedian Daniel Nainan once asked of his Indian (from India) legally immigrant father and legally immigrant Japanese mother, why don't you hire a couple of immigrants to do the gardening? They replied, a couple of immigrants are doing the gardening.
