Harris didn't promise to "fix prixes", she promised to go after the corporations who were "fixing prices". She promised to end "price gouging", which is excessive profiteering. As previously posted grocery store profits, after costs, have risen 40% since 2020.

All Harris needs to do is to set a ceiling of 5% profits, after costs, as per pre-pandemic profit levels, and leave it up to the corporations to lower their prices to achieve that percentage.
