Is this a sample of Trump fixing the Justice system so that it is fair, and those who are truly guilty get put in jail and those that are innocent get exonerated?

President Trump commutes the prison sentence of George Santos

President Trump announced on Friday that he commuted the prison term of George Santos, the disgraced New York Republican who was sentenced to more than seven years in prison for a litany of crimes after he was expelled from the House over accusations that he stole money from campaign donors.

Not only did Santos get convicted in a court of law for the fraud he committed, but he also plead guilty!!!

and now after just 3 months in jail, he commutes his sentence (a Trump Republican supporter)?

In addition, isn't Trump in office to cut down costs and reduce the national debt, while increasing profits for Americans and not for foreigners?

Then why did he did this this week?

Trump $40 Billion Argentina Bailout Plan Draws Sharp Rebuke from MAGA Ally

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, a Republican and long-time supporter of President Donald Trump, has criticized the administration's plan to potentially double its bailout of Argentina's farming industry up to $40 billion.

With Trump imposing huge tariffs on China, the soybean farmers are suffering big time as China is no longer buying soybeans from us. Where did China turn to, in order to buy soybeans? They turned to Argentina, who is a big exporter of soybeans. So why is Trump helping Argentinian farmers by supplying them with money to help the farmers?

Could it be because the Argentinian president Milei is a right-wing populist that supports Trump? Trump did say that if Milei does not win the elections that are coming up, he will not supply that money to Argentina?

Isn't this basically supporting right-wing politics and not actually helping people................and all of this at the cost to Americans?

So I ask "is this actually fixing the Justice system, or using it to his own political advantage"?

Isn't this hypocrisy to the nth degree?

tRump is "fixing" the justice system the same way a mobster "fixes" a boxing match or a horse race.

111 arrests for a 15 year old in Charlotte?

Naw, the Justice system is perfect.

Good, cause making sure we as a society win is a good thing. For far to long we have lost, because the demafascit set up a two tier justice system
So you are all for rigging/compromising the justice system.

Not the we didn't already know that but thanks for confirming it.

Convicting Trump's enemies and pardoning MAGA frauds. Yes!

Yeah he is.

Hows making sure the justice system works for all Americans a win? Well it ensures that all are equal under the law, instead of a two tier justice system we had under Obama and xiden
YOu seem to have lost the whole point of the thread.

"Santos was horribly mistreated" said Trump"

In a post on social media, Trump said Santos "has been horribly mistreated", adding: "Therefore, I just signed a Commutation, releasing George Santos from prison, IMMEDIATELY. Good luck George, have a great life!"

The former lawmaker was only the sixth in US history to be expelled from Congress, after a damning ethics report in 2023.

Santos, who admitted to stealing the identities of 11 people, including his own family members, was released on Friday night, US media reported.

He did plead guilty to the charges, didn't he?

He served less than three months of a seven-year sentence.

3 months of a 7-year sentence = "horribly mistreated"?

but then Trump has stated that his political opponents should suffer in jail!

This is pure and utter hypocrisy!
