Indeed, I do appreciate a wide array of black culture. As stated above, I don't subscribe to the OP. However, as Chris Rock stated, there is a huge difference between being BLACK and being a ******. Of course you would find Chris Rock more credible, entertainers and athletes are the only things bigots are comfortable seeing blacks as. It appears as if you have fallen into the delusional thinking that America's racial problem ended with the civil rights movement. You further delude yourself in thinking that any intelligent black who studies history as i have and comes to these conclusions has to be associated with bean pies. I prefer sweet potato and apple pie myself. I know a large part of white people would love to be able to absolve themselves of the guilt caused by the horrendous reality of the crimes commited by their ancestors by saying that the blacks who became slaves were sold by their own people. This is only partially true. It was long a custom to take POW's as slaves and to sell them or trade them. A small number of those who became slaves were captured that way. But the overwhelming majority were taken by trickery or by force. The Africans who sold their fellow blacks had no idea what type of life they were selling them into. The slave in Africa had rights and a chance for upward social mobility. Not so in America. The world has practised slavery, but no one has been as savage in it's application and no other historical instance has had such far reaching ramifications. You are not gonna be able to wash your hands of this one. The fact that modern whites still benefit from these crimes today makes it so that the blood is on your hands as well, and referring to me as "gangster", "malcolm x wannabe", or "Kunta" is not going to change that fact.
