JFK was a dilettante playboy. His father saved his sorry ass when his P.T. boat was the only one to be run over by the Japanese in WW2 while they were sleeping in the shipping channel. He went to Berlin while the Russians were building the Wall and called himself a Berliner in German which was slang for a jelly donut. He wished the East Germans luck and left the country. The media called the speech "brilliant". Kennedy used the CIA to raise and train an illegal invasion army and then left them at the Bay of Pigs, Cuba. The liberal media called it brilliant strategy but the Russians knew they were dealing with a self centered (drug abusing) adulterer. In retrospect Kennedy seems like a conservative, "ask not what your Country can do for you" but he was a garden variety democrat.

Fact is he suffered from a painful back problems to the point he had to use crutches. So I have never been to convinced of the playboy image. His policy toward east Germany was a lot more involved. In Cuba his leadership daring saved us from an atomic war and made the Russians back down. He was Leader and a Patriot with a real understanding of what our nation is and what we stands for.

He was afflicted with something called Addison's disease which reinforces allegations of prescription drug abuse. There is no doubt that he had a relationship with MM which he may have shared with his peculiar brother. Imagine Jackie's embarrassment when the ditsy actress sang the sexy version of happy birthday Mr president. The media loved it though.

Here you have the options to read the speech, listen to the speech, or do both.

John F. Kennedy was among the greatest of orators in the 20th century. Is is among the greatest of Presidents in US history.

Indeed. He was the greatest president of the 20th century.Even greater than the great Calvin Coolidge who gave us a boosting economy which is why the 20's were called the roaring 20's.
