It may be that the cops initially on the scene did a poor job, so then your saying, it would be better that there were no police at all? or that proves that cops in general are worthless to stop a gunman? what exactly is your point?

My point is, that is not the answer. Of course, armed guards might be a worthwhile step to take, but we can't rely on a few out of shape retired cops, military, and a few teachers to protect our kids. We need to do much more.
