There are no appropriations by Congress to fully fund SNAP.

There is a small contingency fund only, that can only partially fund, around $4 billion. Normal monthly, in FY 2025, SNAP would spend ~ $8.3 billion.

The money goes to the states which administer the program, and they have to redo their systems to deal with those partial payments, and in many states that will take weeks.

Or are you now saying Trump can appropriate funds, Mr. Faux Conservative?

Trump is going to ramp up his viciousness to 11 between now and the mid-terms.

He won't be able to stop himself, especially when everyone starts talking about his replacement for 2028.
