Judge Juan Merchan denied Trump's motion to dismiss the case against him, and said he could appear in person or remotely for the sentencing.

“While this Court as a matter of law must not make any determination on sentencing prior to giving the parties and Defendants opportunity to be heard, it seems proper at this juncture to make known the Court’s inclination to not impose any sentence of incarceration, a sentence authorized by the conviction but one the People concede they no longer view as a practicable recommendation,” the judge wrote in his ruling.

He was convicted of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the case back in May.

Our Beloved President (elect) should force this issue and call their bluff. He should REJECT the hint that he will not be sentenced to prison, DEMAND that the case go forward, and promise to resign and go to prison if the court of last resort upholds this conviction.

It is legal and Constitutional bullshit, the judge is bullshit, the court is bullshit, the charges were bullshit, the prosecutor is bullshit, and the American people are ENTITLED to have this case play out to its ultimate conclusion.

It is simply unacceptable for him to go off into the sunset with the apparent stain of a felony conviction. He needs to get this sorted out.

Yes. Interesting to see if the judge enters a judgment of conviction. Without a sentence, this would be ripe to vacate.

Hopefully, the appellate court will reverse this and also remove the judge from the courts.
