The reduction of the trade deficit came with a catch. This reversal will now increase the national debt/budget deficit.

*Hint to get through the paywall: pay for the article, since you and I and all have a lot of extra money from Trump’s tax cuts.

Your S.C are not looking out for your middle class.

The Fed government should start finding a way to cut their salaries due to the impact on the debt.

Or maybe Trump should have done things PROPERLY first. Then this wouldn't be happening. This is Trump's fault. You can't blame the people who say he did it wrong. Blame the people who did it wrong.

Why would the federal government reimburse these companies? Nobody forced them to buy from countries under tariffs.

There will be no reversal, dooshbag. That court hasn't the power to dictate federal policy. The tariffs stand.

Another prog judge can go screw himself. But thanks for the nice paywall, though!

The consumer has paid for some of them. Do they get reimbursed?
The consumer paid for most of them. But there just isn't any realistic way to effect reimbursement.

In the initial round of lawsuits over its tariffs, the Trump administration had indicated that it would issue refunds in the event that the president’s tariffs were invalidated. But Mr. Trump and his aides have shifted to a more defiant tone since the Supreme Court dealt a decisive blow to one of the most potent, flexible weapons in the president’s trade war. The administration has signaled that it intends to delay or contest repayment of the money, arguing at times that refunds could create a fiscal crisis for the United States.

The regime's argument boiling down to, "We caused consumers and businesses to pay money to the government illegally, good luck trying to get it back."

Then giving it back to the companies is bullshit.

That is more or less what they are doing with the recent student loan ruling dismissing the lawsuit that stopped the SAVE plan and forgiveness. They so far seem to be refusing to implement the forgiveness.

It's time to stack the court. Make Roger Stone the Chief Justice.
