Another huge tornado disaster. One half mile wide, and capable of tearing up steel structures. 89 known dead at the moment. More dead in other states.

One of the early articles states that debris from Joplin was raining down as much as sixty miles away. All my sympathies go out to the people of Joplin. I would hate to think of having to rebuild a life with the totality of all I have accumulated, photos, items that carry value because of who gave them, or the circumstances in which they were obtained, gone in a matter of seconds. This has happened to so many this spring.

Yup. It seems more 'nados are slicing thru metro areas these days.
Luckily that same system disipated before it came thru Illinois last night.

This is absolutely terrible. My thoughts are with them. How odd this tornado and storm came so fast in the area.

Crazy stuff.. I have family in Joplin.. All are fine, thankfully. But they said everything's tore up around there.

I love Peanuts and how fitting for this story I'm about to tell. I heard on the news two dogs saved their family by howling and going crazy ten minutes before the sirens went off.

Yeah- I swear our mutt can hear thunder a hundred miles off. He gets all worked up and prances around the house.
