Since COVID-19 mainly affects the elderly, experts expected an increase in the percentage of deaths in older age groups. However, this increase is not seen from the CDC data. And? Death rates are much more stable than many imagine through the annual cycle. So although Covid-19 effects are only a fraction of all the reasons people die it is still plainly visible to anyone not blinded by idiology.

Where did you get this idea that all months are supposed to have equal deaths? Further, obviously if you pick and choose the places you will find the places where covid did have an effect. Yet the chart still shows nothing out of ordinary variation - look at Austria for example - less deaths during the virus.
