Joe is one of my long time favorites and I was lucky enough to recently see him in concert, for the second time. Such longevity and a unique style. Posting some of my favorites:

  • Big Bad Moon
  • Ceremony
  • Surfing With The Alien
  • War
  • Made Of Tears

So many more, but that's a few to get some conversation going.

I'm a fan. I was lucky enough to see him live four times when I lived in Arizona. My favorites by him include "Flying In A Blue Dream", "Surfing With The Alien", and "Satch's Boogie". Thanks for the post.

This is the type of song that might kill your neighbor's lawn. (Props to Lemmy of Motorhead for this quote)

Not my favorite style of guitar playing, but I can appreciate the talent.

There was a Wall Street Journal article when Joe first got famous and Zappa was in the audience. The reporter ask Frank why are you here and Zappa said, "Because he's the best guitar player around" something like that

I saw him as part of Chickenfoot (with Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony from Van Halen, and Chad Smith from RHCP). Great show.

Joe is best when he has a little bit of help

And one of my personal favorites
