Your answer was general. That it infiltrated various supply lines, most of which appear to be black market stuff. If it got into established legal sources, people would be held accountable and it would be stifled.

If a high school kid makes a dumb decision and purchases a bag of weed laced with fentanyl, I don't think they should pay for it with their life.

Since I couldn’t get a definitive answer to my simple question about how all of this threatening fentanyl was being consumed, I googled it. Apparently it’s all related to a pervasive drug culture.
Blaming the fentanyl suppliers is a perfect parallel for blaming guns for shootings.
