It would be easier for him if Obama, Hillary, Rice and others had kept quiet after the attacks, but they were out there repeating talking points daily about the filmmaker, protesters, no time to respond and how they didn't know what was happening. Unfortunately for all of them, they did go out and make statements and insisted they were facts. Now that we know otherwise, imagine how hard it is to spin this.

They went from a spontaneous protest and not having time to help to having to admit it was a planned terrorist attack and pretending they had people on stand by while the Libyan government dragged their heels. Hell of contradiction from the first statements they stood by.

So, are we blaming the Libyan government for failing to protect our people and failing to help us rescue them? The administration likely sees them as the best scapegoats because we can't very well summon the Libyan officials here to question them. I bet that is where this is going. Of course, they'll have to discredit a lot of believable witnesses to make that happen, but then that is their specialty.

Meanwhile, the Obama supporters, who believe anything he says despite evidence to the contrary, will keep their blinders on.

Who among us isn't on the edge of our seats about the network anchor's thoughts on all this? It's probably been twenty years since I saw a network news broadcast so no idea who these people are today, but bet it is a real treat.
