She has never portrayed herself as that. And gain you bitches don't say about Tim Scott who claimed his grandfather came from the plantation when his family owned land and had money. Crockett represents Dallas and the hood is part of her district. She left that neighborhood in St. Lusis 26 years ago. She has lived longer in Dallas than she did in St. Louis. No, I think they attack her because she portrays herself as having come from low income roots when she was actually raised in a high income family.
Nobody faults her for being a rich kid, but just dont try to come off as something youre not.
So let me explain plausible deniability to you so you can understand why we say you're racist and how we can see through your bullshit.
“Plausible deniability is the ability to deny any involvement in illegal or unethical activities, because there is no clear evidence to prove involvement. The lack of evidence makes the denial credible, or plausible.”
This is how whites on the right have been able to show their racism then deny that it's racism. You guys have consistently tried to frame racism as the type that was done during Jim Crow. However, American history shows us this as stated by the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.:
“Whites, it must frankly be said, are not putting in a similar mass effort to reeducate themselves out of their racial ignorance. It is an aspect of their sense of superiority that the white people of America believe they have so little to learn. The reality of substantial investment to assist Negroes into the twentieth century, adjusting to Negro neighbors and genuine school integration, is still a nightmare for all too many white Americans…These are the deepest causes for contemporary abrasions between the races. Loose and easy language about equality, resonant resolutions about brotherhood fall pleasantly on the ear, but for the Negro there is a credibility gap he cannot overlook. He remembers that with each modest advance (the Negro makes) -- the white population promptly raises the argument that the Negro has come far enough. Each step forward accents an ever-present tendency to backlash.”
The white backlash that led t this moment started in 1993 when Newt Gingrich and the right wing began infesting the institutions of this country. It was an extension of the Reagan white grievance era. But let me go on because describing that could be an entire book itself.
Crockett is being attacked by the right because she is black and she is a strong opponent of white racism. This is an old playbook. White racists have tried to discredit every black person who does this. You are not attacking her because she pretends to be something she's not, because she never pretended. This is an example of plausible deniability. There appears to be no evidence for your racism, but you support a billionaire white man who you claim relates to the working class, but this back woman gets attacked for pretending when she tries to relate to working-class people.
