The Left are now championing the distribution and arming of private citizens so they can defend themselves.

A cause they have virulently fought against and have opposed here for decades.

Suddenly, now, the Left is ALL FOR the private citizen being armed!

Smart move by Tokyo and quite expected. Japan is taking precautions on the repercussions of a nuclear war. Their highest priority is 'never again'!

They can also be commended for a gesture that is directly in the interest of saving civilians from the enemy's bullets at least!

Would Russia be in favour of that gesture in that it reduces collateral damage of war? I think so, considering close ties of Ukrainians to Russians.
