Japan landing on the moon in 15 minutes (livestream link)

Hey it's progress. Just a few years behind.

In other news, Canada just engineered it's own domestic vehicle:

I saw that altitude graph.
Thats too bad.

Graphs do not lie. Had it just been a loss of communication, the plot line would have stopped in mid orbit, but at one point, it showed precipitous plummeting to the surface in like zero time.

They had either an orbital miscalculation, a rocket failure failing to turn the capsule the right way, or an engine failure.

That thing is now a pile of junk on the moon surface.

It pays to buy American.

It makes the Apollo landing look even more impressive
What they achieved in 1969 is an incredible feat beyond anything I can think of relative to the technology at the time. The power of the computer was insignificant which is a credit to the programmers and engineers, something to the order of 4KB of memory.
4k!

Then to also deal with the hiccup at the end where they almost ran out of fuel and would have died alone on the moon.

The Russians were more shocked than anyone but also in awe at the achievement. That is how profound the accomplishment was that even their arch enemies in Russia were amazed.

THAT is the America we need and it only happens with meritocracy. It's why nations like Canada do not engineer or create. There is countless talented young men and even kids destroyed by the caste of the police enforcers. They use them for cattle to have excessive funds and power at the expense of our nations success.

This is why Canada can't handle tariffs while America shrugs their shoulders at them, Innovative and ambitions nations don't fear, they conquer the unknown and defend liberty!

Technically it landed….at a very high rate of speed! 😂

From what little data I gleaned on the mission, it appeared that the intended landing point was about where the X is. This is much farther north than any of the Apollo missions. There are mountains to the south, a promontorium to the north, and dorsa (wrinkle ridges) all over the area.

It is possible the lander impacted some unintended feature on descent.

That reverse logarithmic altitude graph and the faces on those Japanese engineers looked as though the ending was catastrophic.
