As long as Comer is willing to testify under oath that he directed his staff to use the Autopen, and his staff is willing to testity under oath that they only used the Autopen as directed specifically by Comer, I have no problem with it.

I do think a best practice would be just to stop using the Autopen for official governmental actions, and confine it to answering mail from contituents, signing awards, etc.

Here two senior staffers from the Biden White House are deposed and forthrightly answer all questions about the use of the Autopen under Biden.
