I've watched CNN for the last two days, including just now. The discussion of sanction Russian oil is shot down, not one mention of XL Pipeline

The economist CNN had on minutes ago suggested that "since we are integrated in the global economy there is no way to sanction Russia oil that won't hurt us also"

She is basing this primarily on the supply/demand continuum, in which if the West decreases Russian oil, it will increase the price and everyone will pay more. Putin may even benefit more due to higher oil prices.

Oddly, no one on CNN ever seems to talk about increasing supply ourselves. If the argument is that cutting supply helps Putin, then why not increase it with the XL Pipeline and other measures?

30 Years of bad policies in the West. With MSM incompetent or complicit, I'm sure the next 30 years are going to be just as bad. I put the cancelling of the XL Pipeline right up there with your southern border "policy". I don't know who is helped by these policies but it sure isn't the average citizen or Americans long term sovereignty.

Who wins? Americas enemies.

They don't mention Keystone because it's not happening. Pretty simple.

Until a Republican wins the W.H again. They have repeatedly discussed the no-fly zone and giving Ukraine jets over the last two days though, even as that isn't happening either.

If media doesn't ask the pertinent questions, citizens will be in the dark when it matters most, such as in times of war.

Somehow citizens are convinced that XL Pipeline is bad for the environment, but, shipping in oil from nations that disregard regulations, or, shipping manufacturing overseas is "good for the environment"

A Republican hasn't won a Popular Vote since the 2004 election which will be 20 years in 2024. The party is done with the Presidency.

How does the XL pipeline increase oil production?

These are globalists.

You will hear nothing other than globalist thought, and talking points.

You should expect nothing different.

MSM...all of it...pushes that agenda.

Expecting logic, and practical thought from these places is pointless.

The keystone XL doesn't sell any gasoline in the US.

So build the keystone XL across Canada to the ocean.

How does the Keystone XL pipeline increase oil production? The OP seems to be unable to elaborate on how that works.

The Chinese will be thrilled .. they will make a profit and pay no taxes.

Wait until your gas is 50% higher. You can then tell us how windmills and solar panels will warm your house and hurt Putin...

Republicans, energy experts say Keystone XL cancelled by Biden would have helped lessen need for Russian oil

"The United States imports nearly 600,000 barrels of oil a day from Russia—an amount that could have been made up for by the more than 800,000 barrels of oil the Keystone XL pipeline is capable of delivering each day if the Biden administration hadn’t stood in the way," Republican Sen. Tim Scott wrote on Fox News this week. "As Vladimir Putin conducts his evil and unprovoked attack on Ukraine, now more than ever, we must cut off our energy dependence on Russia while turning up our energy production here at home."

Pressure builds on Biden to reopen Keystone XL Pipeline amid Ukraine crisis

These points include restarting and expediting the Keystone XL Pipeline, reopening federal lands to drilling and oil or natural gas exploration, and revoking a ban Biden placed on oil or gas leases in the Outer Continental Shelf.

"The basic idea, we need to shut down Russian energy production. We need to open up our own," Hawley said. "Joe Biden has made a major strategic error. He’s done the exact opposite—he came into office, lifted sanctions on the Russian energy pipeline that just stuffed dollars in Putin’s pocket. And he shut down ours."

Hawley said this bill would lift regulations and "stop measures" that Biden imposed on American energy production when he took office last year.

Biden Administration Drags Feet On Mandated Keystone XL Economic Fallout Report

The Biden administration has failed to issue a congressionally-mandated study on the consequences of canceling the Keystone XL pipeline more than two weeks after it was due.

“President Biden’s Executive Order destroyed numerous jobs and changed countless lives. It also strained relationships with Canada and put the United States at a strategic disadvantage when it comes to energy security for us and our allies,” the Republican lawmakers wrote. “Knowing the full impact of the President’s actions is important to the American people.”

Because you are posing a stupid question.

A question which you very well know the answer to, all while ignoring the greater point.

Just like conveyor belts don't make boxes, and guns don't make bullets.

The point is, that the infrastructure is in place.

The manpower, the rigs, to technology, everything.

However, you are intentionally obtuse for the same reason the assholes on CNN are...you prefer the global community over a national one.

Fact.

Domestic production can exceed demand which DOES affect price.

This was proven very recently.

So stop pissing in the water with 'corky question time', shit bird.

Elaborate.
The Chinese are heavily invested in Canadian tarsands and they practically give it away. It's real corrosive gunk. The only way they can make a profit is to avoid US taxes and sell it overseas. If they pipe to the Free trade zone refineries they can make a profit only if none of it is sold in the US.

They don't use rigs for tarsands. They scrape it up like strip mining coal.

Yeah...but you are discounting one thing.

Justin Castro is a globalist, and a climate weenie.

Besides...China doesn't need Canada...they have Russia.

The point is that the infrastructure is in place.

The ability to perform the work exists.

This whole op can be up and running very quickly.

The Chinese are in for 22 billion.
