That's right, it's time.

Time for the trump supporters to grow up and realize the election was not stolen, he just lost.

Time to stop fantasizing about revolutions. They aren't what you guys think they are.

Time to stop with the crazy conspiracy theories. Joe biden isn't senile and in bed with china, Vladimir Putin is not your friend, nobody is drinking baby blood, pizzerias are not child traffickers, Joe Scarborough didn't murder an intern... You get the idea.

Time to realize that a change in administration is not the end of the world even if you don't like the new guys policies. Better healthcare for the average American isn't going to harm you, neither are higher taxes on the extremely wealthy or the megacorps, and you don't have to be frightened of Vice President Harris even if she is both female and black.

In short, it's time to grow up, act like adults, and stop running around like your hair is on fire.

That's not a good start.

The problem is the "elections have consequences" threat. Conservatives have every reason to worry that Democrats will take their narrow victory as a 'mandate' and force bunch of shit on us that we don't want. Like Obama did with ACA.

We need leadership that represents all the people, not just the majority.

Oh I see. So it was okay for the left to act like that all year. But now that they “won” everything is fine and dandy so now we can all just get along.

**** off. We’ll always fight for our rights and against the Marxist, un-American Agenda of the left.

True.

But hyperbolic demagoguery, conspiracy theories, contrarianism, and lies are all conservatives know.

We should do it more like England then, minus the monarchy of course.

I'm not sure we need to adopt a full parliamentary system, but I do think multi-rep districts would be a big improvement, as well as ranked choice voting.

In my view, the biggest dysfunction with US politics is that neither party has incentive to seek consensus. The core problem is that, under our current system, 51% of the vote gets you 100% of the power. The Democrats now nominally control the government. But they have, at best, a slim majority of the population supporting them. That's not sustainable, and, assuming Dems govern as they have in the past, will leave close to half of the country angry and alienated, waiting to get their "revenge".

A. 8,000,000 votes is a pretty solid mandate.

B. 306/232 was a mandate when it was trump's margin.

C. He does represent the people, and in a much more concrete fashion than trump ever did.

They must be taught.

As long as Trump keeps fanning the flames of conspiracy, that will not happen.

It is time for Republicans at all levels to stop placating Trumps temper tantrum because he lost. Time for Republicans to be honest with their membership and tell them that we had a fair and honest election and that Biden won

Is this your way of acting like an adult?
It is true, to a certain extent, but you do have a point. They will never grow up if we keep treating them like children.

Which I am guilty of as well.

You mean like those ******* idiots who were setting cities on actual fire all summer? How about EVERYONE grow the **** up, including you?
I've already regretted not mentioning the whatabouting.

No, it's really not. 51.4% is not a consensus. 46.9% still voted for Trump, despite the fact that he's an unhinged douchebag. If Dems pretend that 51.4% is a mandate, and use it to slam through major changes to society with a slim, party line majority they'll only be making matters worse.

B. 306/232 was a mandate when it was trump's margin.

No, it wasn't. See above.

C. He does represent the people, and in a much more concrete fashion than trump ever did.

Biden says he'll represent the interests of everyone, and not just Democrats. I hope he does. I'm not counting on it.

And like Trump did, and undid because Obama once made a joke about him.
