It's hard work to do nothing all day at work at a desk even with unlimited internet. A few days a month maybe but 5 days a week?//

It’s gotten much worse since then. Are you still talking about what happened decades ago? Or during COVID?
Or do you know about the situation in 2020's?
That’s bad. Then they and the Administration should be held accountable. I’m glad they aren’t prioritizing rescues and service based on political party affiliation.FEMA was only able to answer 3 calls in 10 after the July 4th flash flood in Texas.
And you ass-u-me that every worker is necessary and working hard.So you only ass-u-me what the current situation is decades later.
Commercial airplanes spend the vast majority of their flight time on autopilot. While pilots always hand-fly takeoffs and landings, and may manually fly during certain phases of the flight, the autopilot is engaged for roughly 90% of a typical flight. This includes much of the climb, cruise, and descent phases. And you ass-u-me that every worker is necessary and working hard.
Yeah I’m going with Lisa’s “Assumption”
Has anybody asked, what are the supervisors doing, if they're letting the employees do nothing? The GOVT rumored to pay many names that never show up anymore or do t exist? Hope DOGE can stop that.
I know someone who did something similar, also a GS-14. She was planning to retire in about a year, but she retired ahead of time and took the six months “bonus” money, and is now working from home 3 days a week doing her old job. So, she gets almost $90,000 bonus, then her usual pension money, and on top of that, 24 hours a week billed out at triple digits. My GS-14 NOAA neighbor went into work one day a week before Covid, zero days during Covid and zero days post-Covid. He was made to go back into work after trump was elected so he took $25k bonus to retire a month later.
Supervisors do nothing too.Has anybody asked, what are the supervisors doing, if they're letting the employees do nothing?
You mean like they did under Biden - skipping houses that had aTrump signs? That’s bad. Then they and the Administration should be held accountable. I’m glad they aren’t prioritizing rescues and service based on political party affiliation.
ExactlyYou mean like they did under Biden - skipping houses that had aTrump signs?
That's where I think the problem is.Supervisors do nothing too.
FEMA isn't skipping houses with Trump signs any more.Exactly
Yes….its pervasive throughout the government. Glad I could open your eyes. That's where I think the problem is.
Monkey see. Monkey do.
They are not skipping houses nor did they intentionally decide to skip any houses for any reason. You may have a point if the Trump cuts ran too deep to keep up with demand in a crisis. That is a point I can accept and need for correction and accountability. What I can’t accept is any Administration’ agency services refusing to help citizens in crisis due to real or perceived political preferences.FEMA isn't skipping houses with Trump signs any more.
In fact, FEMA just decided to skip EVERY house now.
If you need help, you have to go to where they set up shop.

At least their pointless gov jobs will be eliminated.I know someone who did something similar, also a GS-14. The government workers are laughing all the way to the bank, while they want the ignorant public to think they are on food stamps.
