I hope we don't lose electric!

Beautiful outside back. Can't wait for the deer to show up!

We had 62 degrees yesterday, I was outside all day. Tonight we are getting heavy rain (1 to 2") and then it turns to snow, we might get 2".

For the first 2 months of 2023, 49 of 58 days have been above average temperatures

I'm about ready to go and snow blow the sidewalks and driveway.
This stuff is heavy! It's right at 32 degrees now....

This is the kind of stuff that brings down tree branches on to the power lines....

We wish we had a snowblower!! But fortunately we have a neighbor across the way in front that has a pick up and snow plow, he does the private road to get us out of here and on to a paved road, and kindly does our driveway too!

Us too! It has been relatively warm with one Arctic freeze.

We have a property like that. A barn like that. Yes when we go we throw out a bunch of corn to get the deer to come out.

Check out what we caught on the trail cams
Wow! Bob cats and Coyote! We have both too!

I snow blow my neighbors driveways and sidewalks, also. They appreciate the effort.

This was the last big snowfall we had!

Yes they do, I give buckets of apples to my neighbor to give to the deer.
we had 7 wild apple trees on the property when we bought it, down to 4 now, but that is why we get deer coming to our property, the apple trees were here long before the house was built... They just kept coming in fall when ripe, even after we moved in....

So Matt and I just began feeding them apples, and we've had deer friends ever since! We feed them deer corn and sunflower seeds too, in the winter.

The snow is always the most beautiful in someone else's yard ... I have kin living in the Sierra's ... the overhead power lines are under the snow banks by now ... 12 to 15 feet where she lives ... like what the Donner Party found ...
