Is it better to eat when it's breakfast time, lunch time, or dinner time... or should one eat ONLY when their stomach growls?

Some people have not heard nor felt their stomach growl in months/years.

16/8 intermitent fasting or even OMAD (one meal.a day) as one gets older. Dont do either every day, if you dont need to but as little as once or twice a.week to as many days as one wishe if you want it to become your normal routine. I didnt know at the time but I was always skinny as a kid, with decent natural strength as an athlete. The reason I think I stayed skinny was that I rarely ate breakfast. Its weird.looking back now but I didnt have the appetite in the morning though I burned so many calories as a very active kid.

Thanks and that's some really good advice. I used to do that.. eat one meal a day when I was in my 20s and early 30s. Once you get a little bit older you do need more than one meal a day, but those meals can be small in size. Rather than eating from a plate you can eat from a saucer.

Maybe a meal and a sandwich later on

I left the mall yesterday and stopped at Luby's bought a meal - fish, mashed potatoes, corn, a wheat roll, and some brown gravy.

I came home and set the entire meal in the freezer. Strangely when I get home I'm not hungry I just want to go to sleep. If I'm out in the streets seeing all those eateries I think I need to stop and get food. It's all psychological.

Restaurants offers... eat, eat, eat
Home offers... sleep, rest, relax

The key word is "moderation"

They were scrambling at Macys yesterday... removing the Christmas sweaters and setting up the workout clothes; getting them on display.

I guess its okay to eat for any meal so long as its done so in moderation.

We need less food as we get older. We're done 'growing' and likely do less physical activity. Plus, body functions slow as we age. "Your waistline is your lifeline". A little fat is good, too much not good. The body likes routine, including foods, doesn't like surprises. It doesn't matter when you eat as long as it doesn't affect your sleep.

Dinner like a king,
Supper like a pauper."

It depends on how much energy is needed between meals.
