And I am in the Northeast, Sound Shore area of New York.

I remember years ago in late June we had a real heatwave, so much so that the nuns in 7th or 8th grade told the boys, okay, you can take off your ties.

It's summer, sometimes it gets 🥵.
It’s only 99 here in Phoenix.

Coolest summer we have ever had. 😂

99 here, lowish humidity for Virginia. One more day of it then it's gonna be in the 80s and rain off and on for five days straight.
LOL, it was 57 high on Sat and highs have been in the mid 70s since, but it is supposed to warm to the high 80s with 90 degrees by Sat. I love it. Our turn is coming though.

I went to the gun shop this morning and in town it was 88 when i left the house.....I got on a road that borders the Shenandoah River and the temp dropped to 81.....7 degrees cooler.

Of course it's the opposite in the winter, it's colder than a witch's tit down there.

Sigh, all I got was a Ruger 10-22 for my trouble.

I live just off of the upper Columbia R. The temp usually varies 10 degrees between our place and the river--maybe 500' elevation change. That is winter and summer--the river is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

For months it's been well below average temp, in fact the heating went on for a couple of nights. Then it got warm for a few days so the alarm bells went off in the media that the planet is doomed. It got to 33c, 91f in old money. In the past when it was warmer, life carried on, now it's screaming man made climate change and the temperatures are often lower.

Yeah, I have to laugh every time I hear a "feels like" temperature.

time for some air conditioning!

SW Wisconsin here. The wireless weather machine reads 113 on one side of the house. But that's only because the sensor got squirrely because of all the rain and humidity.

The other electronic thermometer reading the shady side of the house reads 79 with 80% humidity. We're on the north side of a wooded hill, so that sounds about right.

When I was a kid growing up in southeastern New Mexico, nobody but the very rich had any kind of air conditioning. But we survived quite nicely in 80, 90, 100 degree heat. Nobody fretted about 'life threatening' temperatures or that the planet was doomed because it was so hot.
