It saddens me to see the continuation of justice delayed/denied.

Georgia appeals court postpones Trump arguments

Donald Trump’s criminal case in Georgia is now on hold — indefinitely.

The Georgia Court of Appeals announced Monday that it has canceled arguments that were set for next month in the president-elect’s bid to kick Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis off of the case in which he’s charged with conspiring to corrupt Georgia’s 2020 election results.

The one-page order, signed by the clerk of the court, doesn’t explain the decision to scuttle the scheduled Dec. 5 arguments or identify which judges signed off on it. All four of Trump’s criminal cases have now faced delays since his election to a second presidential term.

A spokesperson for Willis and an attorney for Trump did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

trump supporters would have us believe Fani Willis is corrupt. Alvin Bragg is corrupt. Judge Lewis Kaplan is corrupt. Letisha James is corrupt. Jack Smith is corrupt. Judge Juan Merchan is corrupt. Judge Tanya Chutkan is corrupt. AG Merrick Garland is corrupt. Every member of every grand jury that voted to indict trump and his co-defendants is corrupt. In order for you not to be corrupt your actions must align with trump's wishes. Like Judge Aileen Cannon.

Essentially, they would have us believe anyone involved in the prosecution of trump's alleged and adjudicated crimes is inherently corrupt by virtue of the fact they are involved in the prosecution. How did they come to this conclusion? trump, the defendant, who worked with his co-conspirators to launch a scheme to hold on to power using slates of fake electors, who refused to comply with a subpoena demanding the return of classified documents in his possession, told them to believe it. And obediently, they did.

If you were facing multiple criminal indictments in multiple jurisdictions, but could make those cases go away before being adjudicated, how could you make appear as though justice was served when in fact it was not?

How dare he legally defend himself.

Trump isn't going to jail.

Accept it.
You're right, he isn't. I've accepted that he isn't. But that shouldn't stop anyone from acknowledging two things. His prosecutions were conducted for legitimate reasons. And he isn't going to prison because he was found innocent in courts of law.

They were salem witch hate trump hunts by liberal hacks.. That is it.

I feel compelled to write that I agree with all the Leftist pundits who are writing these days that Trump should NOT have these cases delayed or dropped, and the prosecutions should continue until all legal remedies are played out. And if you follow such things, they would not be finally adjudicated during Trump's second term.

The reason I feel this way is because all the cases are legal bullshit, and I would rather Trump played them out to the inevitable conclusion that the highest courts state categorically that they are bullshit, than have Trump live the rest of his life under this cloud.

A failure to let them go forward will facilitate the Left's incessant and baseless claims of Trump being a convicted felon (which verdict will be shoved up Merchan's ass), he is a rapist, and so on.

So.......as I said.........you believe prosecutions of trump are by their nature corrupt. Do you believe in his infallibility? Is it impossible for him to have refuse to comply with a legally issued subpoena?

So, despite overwhelming evidence of his guilt outlined in the charging documents you believe he is innocent. The thing is, he doesn't have a great track record in courts of law. Places where facts, not bluster, are the deciding factor.

BTW, I think your analysis is correct with respect to a cloud of doubt hanging over him forever. The trials may be going away but the evidence of his guilt isn't.

Mt take on Trump's woes is as follows based on what I can gather from all the reporting: The NY case should have been a tax evasion case not a trumped up election interference case; he was guilty on the classified docs case; the January 6th stuff was nonsense that should have never been pursued; and IDK on the Georgia case because enough of the details have not come out other than he called someone and said something about needing 12K votes.

I have no problem with a legal defense. Why do you have a problem with a legal prosecution?
I don't. I can protest when it is obviously done for political purposes, just like you can protest when a defendant defends himself. If a prosecution is so mangled that the lawyers involved end up begging to not be sanctioned themselves, it's done very badly.

When boiled down to its essence, the "meat" of the prosecution's case is a phone call where Trump asked the Governor to FIND a couple thousand votes. There is nothing wrong or unusual about this request. Bags of uncounted ballots are often found in post offices, delivery trucks, rest rooms, and polling places, and Trump was merely asking the Governor to pull out all the stops to find any of those ballots that could still be found, knowing that if they were from ANYWHERE BUT ATLANTA, they would benefit the sitting President.

Contrast this to requests in Pennsylvania where the requesting politicians is asking that some more votes be manufactured in Philadelphia, where everyone is a Democrat and half the Black people don't vote - fertile grounds for fraud.

It is a bullshit case, and if allowed to run to its inevitable conclusion, it would be tossed out.

My take on your take is I don't think you are familiar enough with the details of the Jan. 6 indictment. Smith makes a compelling case.
