This is a story to brighten the day. Its a place in Essex which the census recognised as the "straightest" place in England. Gay folk got together.

And now the LGBTQ community is thriving.

The rise of fascism has meant a war on Gay folk and now they are fighting back. Nobody should be intimidated out of living their life in freedom.

Maybe it means that straight people don't care as much as gay people think

That's exactly what it means.
The the imagined antipathy is exaggerated.
Most of the problems come not from prejudice but from predation. For some strange reason the gay populace feels compelled push their opinion where it is not wanted or needed. Nobody cares.... Nobody minds.... Nobody is interested.

What makes some people, like this fellow, think that Normative people are interested in hearing about his sexual preferences?

Homos really should respect their Normal neighbors a bit more, and tell people about their sexual ideals on a "Need to Know" basis.

And believe me, most people don't need to know.

It's a thing with them. As if most people couldn't tell at a Glance. The dysfunction is some type of declarative association. Very weird.

Yup. It's a lot like that joke that goes "if you want to know whether someone is a vegetarian, wait five minutes and they'll tell you."

Compulsive need to disclose is a mental illness.

I would like to think so. Thats a clip from the "only gay in the village" really.
But there is a reason gays congregate in Brighton and Chester. they are safer there and can live their lives.
Look at the comments on this thread. There is still a way to go.
