Instead of just condemning the most corrupt police apparatuses in the West, how about holding them accountable? Charging them with a crime, firing them from their job etc.

Canada will continue to lose our nation because of these unaccountable criminals masquerading as the "good guys".

Judges are the only people in between Canada and our social collapse thanks to the unaccountable apparatuses abusing citizens in this country.

‘It is imperative that what the police did here be condemned’: Peel officers made up reasons for an illegal search — then lied about it in court, judge finds

Peel Regional Police officers violated a man’s Charter rights by searching him illegally, fabricating grounds to justify their actions — and then lying about it in court “to cover up the true state of affairs,” according to a Brampton judge.

“It is imperative that what the police did here be condemned,” Superior Court Justice David Harris wrote in a 26-page ruling released earlier this week, in which he excluded a gun from evidence because of the constitutional violations, effectively ending the Crown’s case against the accused.

What made it even more offensive was the fact that all three officers “agreed to concoct the false scenario of a preplanned, legitimate arrest, premised on reasonable grounds,” he wrote.

That the officers were working together for the first time only aggravates the misconduct, he added: “When three law enforcement officers who have no prior relationship, all spontaneously agree to pervert the course of justice, it suggests a systemic problem extending beyond these three officers.”
The judge said because of Section 24(2) of the Charter — ensuring the admission of evidence doesn’t damage the repute of the justice system — he had no alternative but to exclude the gun due to the seriousness of the violations.

Not excusing in any way law enforcement who does illegal things --it should not be tolerated except in cases of extreme and unusual necessity--I can understand how it happens. The police officer(s) know the perpetrator is guilty and passionately want to be able to arrest him/her and choose to violate the law to accomplish that. Again, while that should not be tolerated, we can have some sympathy for it.

In the movie "Mississippi Burning", based on a true story, the FBI was at a stalemate to be able to arrest and indict the truly evil Klansmen who had murdered three civil rights workers in the 1960s and were systematically burning out and murdering black people.

They finally cracked the case by kidnapping one of the Klansmen and so terrifying him that he confessed and ratted out the others. Armed with the fine details of their illegal activities, the FBI was, one by one, able to get confessions and convictions from the others. Totally illegal on the part of law enforcement but effective to accomplish what needed to be done.

Okay, this was a movie and a lot of it was fictionalized, but let's pretend that it is historically accurate.

Condone what the FBI did? No. We shouldn't. But it's really difficult to criticize it too.

Sure we can understand ones motives, we cannot allow it though. In fact, they should be dealt with more harshly than the actual criminals due to their power in society.

If someone is truly guilty of a crime than prove it. With the massive amount of legal support and investigative methods from DNA to otherwise, they don't need to create an excuse.

Strong men are those able to ensure they do not engage in the same evil comparable to those they are trying to protect society from. Otherwise, we will find ourselves in Germany and the law is just thrown out in favour of the ruling party and their loyal, docile sycophants.

Again I'm not justifying it. Just saying that the plot in "Mississippi Burning" was extremely satisfying when the Klansmen were arrested, tried, convicted, and sent to prison because the FBI had seriously violated what they were legally allowed to do to make that happen. :)

Human nature is a strange thing.
