You know, I rarely have anything good to say about Israeli's and I have never said anything good about Netanfuckyou. But I have to admit, this isn't one of those times.

The backstory on this issue, is for the first time, at least for me, have I seen Israeli leaders condemn the actions of right wing Israeli's. But that's just what the Israeli PM and other leaders have done in regards to this video.

Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, immediately condemned its “shocking images”, which he said displayed “the real face of a group that poses danger to Israeli society and security”.

Even if he didn't mean it, I have to applaud the guy for at least saying it publically.

It was also nice to see reports that Israel's version of the FBI, Shin Bet, was actively investigating Jewish terrorism.

According to reports, the groom had been arrested and questioned in the past by the Shin Bet for alleged involvement in Jewish terrorism...​

I guess this wedding party was a little too over the top for the government to ignore.

According to the Channel 10 report, Israeli defence force rifles and pistols were passed around at the reception, including to children.

Since I hardly ever see this, I want to give a "shout out" to Big Ben and his bunch for demonstrating a little humanity on their part by their reaction to this wedding party celebration.

Ok, fair enough. For once, those were not kids holding those rifles, those were adults, violent and idiotic adults. I will condemn this of course, those give the Israeli right a bad name altogether, just a bunch of hooligans that should be arrested for wasting other Israelis' fresh air. That being said, I bet it's nothing compared to whatever is shown on Palestinian weddings

The Israel Defense Force has occupied Palestinian territory. The Palestinians are fighting back the only way available to them. The IDF is using its USA-supplied military hardware to kill Palestinian terrorists as carefully as it can, but it is in the nature of that military technology that the IDF is inevitably going to kill more non-combatants than terrorists.

This is the nature of an asymmetrical war that is going to continue until a settlement is imposed from the outside. Israel is in too deep to abandon "settlements" of half a million Jews or the annexed territory of Jerusalem and the Bekaa Valley. The Palestinians won't give up as long as they have the support of four hundred million Arabs and world opinion. And wringing and finger pointing is a waste of time.

The USA is politically paralyzed by the powerful coalition of AIPAC and the religious right, a coalition that will not last much longer. We are going to have a real two-state solution whether we like it or not. The real issue is: can we bring Israel in for a soft landing or is there going to be a crash like the one in 70 AD which ended the last "Jewish homeland"?
