Being reminded that the entirety of Gaza is a combat-zone, with active fighting between the IDF and Hamas, the delivery of humanitarian aid is strategically complex. There are reasons why Israel "can't just give..."

What should have happened is for women and children and elderly non-combatants to be permitted to enter Egypt into safe humanitarian zones. Then the facilitation of humanitarian aid might have been safe, organized, and easily carried out by multiple nations.

It is a strange world we live in where the new rules of warfare include preventing non-combatants from fleeing the war zone.

Right now as we speak tons of food is sitting about 200 yards away from starving children. But Israel won't guarantee the aid workers safe passage. The aid workers don't trust Israel. The aid workers know if Israel sees one Hamas character in line for food, they will drop bombs and murder every aid worker, woman and child in the vicinity.

Are there locations where food is difficult to access? Or too costly? Yes. Absolutely there are. Are there locations with plenty of access not only to subsistence goods, but also luxury items? Yes. Absolutely.

The problem to be solved is the unequal distribution of ample supplies of aid.

Israel is attempting to prevent Hamas and other terrorist groups from benefiting from aid deliveries, which is its right under International Humanitarian Law, and any harm to noncombatants from this action is unavoidable collateral damage in this war the Palestinians started and refuse to end.

You should be ashamed of yourself for exploiting children to try to justify your bigotry.

Israel's military said it targeted and killed Anas Al Sharif, alleging he had headed a Hamas militant cell and was involved in rocket attacks on Israel.
