It is a cancer growing throughout the world for 1400 years With respect to the USA, it has been growing here substantially since 1979, wen the Shah of Iran was overthrown & replaced by the Ayatollah Khomeni. Since then there have been terrorist attacks that have killed thousands of Americans.

In addition, Muslim Brotherhood front groups (CAIR, ISNA, MSA, et al) have quietly been carrying out the process of Islamization (transforming American society & culture into being Islamist). The Islamists don't try to hide what they're doing. It's out in the open. No need to take my word for it. Islam is not likely to ever do that. It is all based on the Koran which contains some good things and some very evil things. So some people have suggested why not just remove the bad stuff from the Koran, and leave the good parts intact ?

Nice thought. Here's the problem. Muslims say the words of the Koran are the word of God. And the word of God cannot be changed.

Result ? In 1400 years, not one word of the Koran has even been removed or changed.

Pretty much there is only one way to defeat radical Islam, That is to exterminate it, as you would exterminate fleas or cancer.
